Happy Spring! It is hard to believe that it is already April, but I am so thankful for the sunshine and warm weather coming our way! While planning this issue, I took a look back at the April 2020 issue to see where we were then and where we have made it to today!

UPS Presents Junior Achievement of South Central KY with $7,300 Grant

Junior Achievement of South Central Kentucky recently received a $7,300 grant from UPS. The UPS grant will help Junior Achievement continue to provide essential programs on work-readiness, financial literacy and entrepreneurship to K-12 students throughout South Central Kentucky.

Two local business leaders were inducted into Junior Achievement’s Business Hall of Fame on Tuesday, March 23 on the CW channel, WBKO.com, and Junior Achievement and WBKO’s Facebook pages. The event was presented by BB&T (now Truist).

VIProfile: Haylin Adams

Eleven-year-old Haylin Adams began baking in her Easy Bake Oven at three-years-old, and by the age of nine, made her own birthday cake, launching her interest in baking. She made a vanilla cake with vanilla frosting, and also vanilla cupcakes with pineapple filling, coconut on top and a cherry, to make them “pin colada” themed, an idea she came up with herself.

The Historic Railpark and Train Museum

With nearly 100 years of history in the heart of Bowling Green, and 14 years as a local visitors attraction, The Historic RailPark and Train Museum is central to so much of the area’s history and growth and while the COVID era has slowed tourism somewhat, it hasn’t stopped the enduring mission of the RailPark to preserve history and educate future generations.

Downsizing in Style

Trish and Bob Steelman have lived in Bowling Green since 1987, raising four children here and loving to call Bowling Green home. Overtime, as the kids moved out and away, their need for their 5600 ft2 home in Bent Tree became less and in 2019, they chose to downsize.
