Mandy Ashley is a pediatric dentist at SKY Pediatric Dentistry. She started SKY Pediatric Dentistry from her kitchen table 5 years ago with 3 employees and has grown the practice to over 40 employees. She says she loves talking with young women about their future plans and hopes to inspire others to achieve their dreams. “This is a wonderful time for women to take charge, make decisions, and create the best future for themselves and their families.”

She says when she was young, her dream job was to be an astronaut. “I was completely convinced that I would be exploring the far reaches of the galaxy by the time I was my mom’s age. Then I realized I get a little sea sick in turbulence, and I decided maybe blasting off on top of a rocket was not for me.”

Mandy wants young women to know they have unlimited potential to create their own work environment. “If you are the hardest working person around, you need to be working for yourself,” she says. Her advice is to create a business plan with the help of mentors and successful people who have your best interest in their hearts. “Have a long game,” she says. “That outfit and that purse can wait until you are 55 and retired comfortably!”
