Shannon White

SOUTH CENTRAL BANK

Story by Kayla Fugate • Photography by Brian Packard

Shannon White is VP of Marketing for South Central Bank, and has been coined as the Authentic Southern Belle. Born and raised in Bowling Green, she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Corporate & Organizational Communication from Western Kentucky University.

She believes that community is built through philanthropy and is an avid supporter of South Central Kentucky Kids on the Block and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. In many aspects, Shannon is a renaissance woman in the community as a real estate professional and the co-founder of the event management group, The Event Concierges. Shannon studied Christian Studies at Lindsey Wilson College, and currently serves as the Youth Pastor at State Street Baptist Church.

“Entering the work force for the first time is scary,” she says. “What is a W-2?” For those young women just entering the business world, she encourages them to choose their own paths and make their own rules. “Always stay on your grind and never stop. The finish line is just a figment—your work is never done,” she says. “The glass ceiling is your titan, so put your lipstick on, and shatter it!”
