Med Center Health Hematology & Oncology Welcomes Catherine Heltsey, MD

Med Center Health is proud to welcome Catherine Heltsley, MD, to Med Center Health Hematology & Oncology. Dr. Heltsley joins Rishi Agarwal, MD, and Diego Cabrera, MD, in providing advanced cancer and bloodrelated disease care to patients in Southcentral Kentucky.

The importance of developing a treatment plan through honest conversations with her patients and understanding their wishes and expectations are top priorities for Dr. Heltsley. To her, each patient is a unique human being and not just their disease. “I treat patients like family,” she said, “with the same compassion and love.” She works closely with every physician on a patient’s care team with the ultimate goal of achieving the best outcome possible.

Dr. Heltsley received her medical degree from Medical College of Wisconsin. She completed her residency in internal medicine and a clinical and research fellowship in hematology/oncology at the University of Tennessee, Memphis.

She has almost 25 years of experience caring for cancer patients. Dr. Heltsley, Dr. Agarwal and Dr. Cabrera are all board certified in hematology/oncology. In her spare time, Dr. Heltsley enjoys being with her husband and three children, scrapbooking, running and watching sports.

She is especially proud of being the mother of a 2019 High School Girls Soccer State Champion. Call 270-796-2557 or visit MedCenterHealth.org to learn more about Dr. Heltsley and our hematology & oncology services.
