Jamie's Shot

Story and photography by Jimbob Baird

The Power of the Puppets was evident on May 4, as more than 100 charitable golf enthusiasts met at Indian Hills Country Club for the South Central Kentucky Kids on the Block fundraiser. The golfers played in memory of Jamie Gaddie Higgins, Kids on the Block Co-Founder, and Fred Higgins the first Kids on the Block Board President. Along with spending a pleasant day out on the course, participants also signed up for a 50/50 raffle, received goody bags, awards, door prizes, brunch by Wild Eggs, and lunch catered by Griffs Deli.

The event helped raise funds for Kids on the Block programs. Kids on the Block has several programs in place that use puppets to convey positive learning messages to school age children and the community as a whole.
