Annual Athena Luncheon

Story and photography by Jimbob Baird

More than two dozen very excited young Athena Club members from Bowling Green Junior High School had the opportunity to have an inspiring lunch with their present-day leadership mentors on November 30, at the sparkling new addition to the Southern Kentucky Community Technical College campus. The annual luncheon brought together the young ladies and current community business women for a time of questions, answers, advice giving, and a chance to discuss real life career paths.

Heather Rogers, Associate VP of Institutional Advancement of SKYCTC, organized the lunch, and she noted that the participants were hand selected by their teachers. The visiting group also enjoyed a tour of the Allied Health and Nursing wing and Science labs.
