Bowling Green’s 40 Under 40: Whitnee Mosley
Story by Amelia Bowen
Although Whitnee Mosley was not born in Bowling Green, she proudly considers herself a Bowling Green girl through and through. As an entrepreneur, wife and mother, Whitnee has spent her career creating vibrant spaces that foster community, support small businesses and bring people together in deeply meaningful ways. Her journey into hospitality and event management actually started with an unexpected proposition. After planning her own wedding, Whitnee swore she would never enter the event industry. Shortly after, however, her motherin-law, Angie Mosley, asked if she would help transform their family horse stables into a local wedding venue. Taking a leap of faith, Whitnee said yes, sparking a passion for creating spaces where families could gather and celebrate life. That single decision laid the foundation for Highland Stables, where Whitnee serves as Chief Operating Officer, and later inspired the creation of GypsyMoon Marketplace. Whitnee credits much of her leadership philosophy to lessons learned early in life. Growing up in a close-knit softball family, her parents, Alane and Greg Lee, made sure she learned every position on the field. That approach taught her the value of understanding everyone’s unique role, fostering a spirit of teamwork that she carries into her executive work today. She also draws constant inspiration from her in-laws, Angie and Chris Mosley, whose work ethic, dedication to family and commitment to lifelong learning continue to shape her approach to business. For Whitnee, leadership is not about managing every detail alone, but rather about building trust and empowering her team to lead alongside her. She thrives on helping others succeed, whether she is encouraging employees at Highland Stables or championing regional artisans through GypsyMoon Marketplace. Watching small business owners flourish, vendor connections form and couples celebrate their milestone days gives her a deep sense of purpose. “Creating opportunities for others to succeed and watching their confidence grow is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do,” Whitnee says. “Leadership is really about lifting others up along the way.” Her desire to lift others up extends naturally into community outreach. Through GypsyMoon Marketplace, Whitnee partners with Life’s Better Together, an organization dedicated to helping families navigating severe illness. Being able to leverage her business platforms to provide direct, tangible relief to local families in need has deeply enriched her perspective as a business leader. At home, life revolves around family and shared experiences. Whitnee and her husband, Justin, have been married for fifteen years and stay busy keeping up with their three children, Hadlee, Jagger and Gryff. Between sports practices and school activities, they cherish their quieter moments together, from hosting friends and family to enjoying game nights and relaxing on the farm with their animals. Reflecting on her growth, Whitnee reminds herself that maintaining balance and leaning on others for support are key ingredients to sustainable success. Looking toward the future, she remains energized by the prospect of continuing to learn, evolve and build experiences that enrich the Bowling Green community she loves calling home.
