After more than 16 years managing the finances of Warren County, Greg Burrell understands how important strong financial planning and strategic growth can be to a community’s success. Today, as a Commercial Loan and Business Development Officer with Farmers Bank & Trust, he applies that same perspective to helping individuals, investors and business owners achieve their goals. Whether assisting with a home purchase, investment property or business loan, Greg enjoys helping clients take the next step toward building their future. A graduate of Western Kentucky University with a degree in Finance, Greg spent 16.5 years serving as Warren County Treasurer before transitioning into commercial banking in 2025. The move allowed him to continue working closely with the community while helping clients navigate important financial decisions. Greg says one of the things that sets Farmers Bank & Trust apart is its ability to provide the personal service of a hometown bank while offering the convenience and resources customers expect from a modern financial institution. Outside of the office, Greg remains actively involved in the community through organizations including the Warren County Downtown Economic Development Authority, LifeWorks and the Elm Street Society. He believes supporting local businesses is one of the most meaningful ways people can invest in the success of their community. Originally from Franklin, Greg has called Bowling Green home since 2004. He has enjoyed watching the city’s growth over the past two decades and looks forward to its continued development. His advice to young professionals is simple: work hard, take calculated risks, find a mentor and never stop learning. Greg credits much of his own success to the guidance of mentors who helped shape his career and perspective.
