Community Leaders in Finance, Insurance & Law: Kayla White
Story by Amelia Bowen
Helping people feel informed and supported during major life decisions is what first drew Kayla White into the insurance industry nearly a decade ago. Since beginning her career through a summer internship in 2015, she has built her work around education, trust and personalized guidance for the clients she serves. Today, as a Senior Benefits Advisor at Davis Insurance, Kayla works closely with individuals and families navigating healthcare coverage, Medicare planning and retirement transitions. She says one of the most rewarding parts of her career is helping simplify an industry that can often feel overwhelming. “With constant changes in the industry, it’s important that clients feel informed and confident when making decisions about their coverage,” Kayla shares. That commitment to people-first service is also what she believes sets Davis Insurance apart. As a second-generation agency with deep roots in Bowling Green, the company focuses on building long-term relationships and serving as a trusted resource for clients through every stage of life. “Our commitment is truly about serving people,” Kayla says. “We want clients to know we’re here to help every step of the way.” Over the years, Kayla has also been recognized for her leadership in training and developing agents and teams. Still, she says the most meaningful part of her work remains the opportunity to positively impact others through honesty, education and genuine care. Outside of work, Kayla enjoys spending time with her children, Emilia and Beckett. From family outings to growing their very first garden together, she says creating memories with her kids is what matters most. She also jokes that the family pet fish keeps life entertaining, especially since its name seems to change by the day. A lifelong Bowling Green resident, Kayla appreciates the city’s Southern charm, four distinct seasons and strong sense of community. Even as Bowling Green continues to grow, she says it still maintains the welcoming atmosphere that makes it feel like home. Looking ahead, Kayla hopes to see continued investment in local families, small businesses and resources that support long-term quality of life throughout the community. Her advice for young adults beginning their careers and financial journeys is simple: “Be a sponge. Never stop learning and striving to be the best version of yourself.”
