Local Business Spotlight: The Venue at 939 Adams Muamer & Allison Razic
Story by Amelia Bowen
For Muamer and Allison Razic, The Venue at 939 Adams is more than a business. It’s the place where their story began. The couple was married there in 2021, drawn to the character of the historic space and the way it naturally brought people together. What started as a meaningful setting for their own wedding gradually became something more. In January of this year, they took over ownership of the venue, stepping into a role that feels both personal and purposeful. “We fell in love with the space from the start,” Allison shares. “Now we get to help other people experience that same feeling.” For her, the most rewarding part is being present for life’s defining moments. “I feel so grateful that I get to be a part of the most important day of their lives,” she says. “Every couple feels like family by the end of it.” While the emotional connection is what drew them in, the venue itself offers a balance of charm and practicality. Features like a spacious bridal and groom suite, a 32-foot bar, and a 2,000-square-foot private patio create an elevated experience. At the same time, details like large bathrooms and ample parking ensure guests are comfortable, even if those elements often go unnoticed. For them, that combination is what sets the space apart. Trends in weddings and events may shift, but they believe a historic venue offers something more enduring. “It’s timeless,” they say. “And that never goes out of style.”
