Local Business Spotlight: Print Plus Designz Mike & Sheri Whittle

Story by Amelia Bowen

Mike and Sheri Whittle have always believed in building something of their own, but more importantly, building it where it matters most. As lifelong Bowling Green residents, their work has never been just about business. It’s about contributing to the community that has shaped their lives. Married for 25 years, the Whittles have raised their three children in the same city they now serve professionally. Their son Caden recently graduated from Western Kentucky University, while twins Carter and Ella are currently attending WKU. That deep-rooted connection to Bowling Green influences both their personal and professional lives. At the center of their work is Print Plus Designz, a full-service print and promotional products company offering everything from signage and banners to custom apparel and branded merchandise. Alongside PPD Printing, the family also operates Econo Signs, giving them the ability to support projects at every stage, from concept to completion. The business didn’t start with a storefront or a large-scale operation. It began in their basement, with a simple idea and a willingness to grow. Over time, that small beginning evolved into a well-established presence on Broadway, where they now work with a wide range of clients across the region. What continues to set them apart is the way they approach their work. Every order, whether large or small, is handled with intention and care. Their clients range from local schools and sports teams to small businesses, churches and organizations, all of whom rely on the Whittles for consistent, high-quality results. Sheri brings a unique perspective to the business, having spent 20 years in education before transitioning full time into operations. That background carries through in the way they interact with their customers, with an emphasis on service, patience and attention to detail. Community involvement remains a natural extension of their work. From supporting school programs to creating custom pieces for local events, the Whittles see their business as a way to stay connected and give back in meaningful ways. One thing that continues to drive their work is the opportunity to help others bring their ideas to life. Whether it’s outfitting a team, promoting a business or preparing for a community event, the Whittles take pride in being part of those moments. It’s not just about delivering a finished product. It’s about creating something that represents their clients well and supports what they’re building. In their eyes, success has never been defined by growth alone. It’s measured in relationships, trust and the ability to serve the people around them. Through Print Plus Designz, they’ve built a business that reflects that mindset while continuing to grow alongside the community.
