Bowling Green’s 40 Under 40: Erin Barber
Story by Amelia Bowen
Growing up in Bowling Green, Erin Barber always had an eye for creativity and a knack for connecting with people. After studying design at Western Kentucky University, she began working with clients in a showroom setting, quickly discovering that her real passion lay in building relationships and solving problems. Today, as a Multimedia Executive with Gray Digital Media and WBKO, Erin combines that eye for design with strategic advertising to help local businesses tell their stories and grow. “I loved helping people make decisions that felt right for them,” Erin says. “Marketing allowed me to blend creativity with strategy while helping local businesses succeed.” That same desire to build up the people around her drives Erin’s deep commitment to community service. A past president of Bowling Green Business Women and active member of Ladies Who Lead, she takes on the role of Board President for Hope Harbor this fall after years of dedicated board service. “Hope Harbor has deepened my sense of purpose,” Erin says. “It reminds me how important it is to use your time and talents to serve others.” Back home, life is just as collaborative. Erin and her husband, Clint Barber, owner of Clint Barber Customs, spend their weekends restoring spaces, tending their garden and keeping up with their three dogs, Paxton, Edward and Amora. For Erin, whether she is crafting a media campaign or hosting friends, success is simply about showing up with intention.
