More than five years later, that foundational philosophy continues to shape every single aspect of the locally owned practice. A proud graduate of Western Kentucky University, Lena has spent more than 20 years in the nursing profession, including more than 14 years serving the region as a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner. Throughout her extensive career, she recognized that many local patients were actively looking for a more personal, accessible approach to healthcare, one that looked far beyond isolated symptoms and focused heavily on overall proactive wellness. Today, Select Health & IVbg brings traditional primary care, specialized wellness services and advanced medical aesthetic treatments together under one convenient roof, allowing patients to receive comprehensive care tailored directly to their individual needs. From direct primary care models and customized hormone replacement therapy to IV hydration, medical weight loss and aesthetic services, every treatment plan is designed with one ultimate goal in mind: helping patients feel their absolute best. “Every treatment is personalized because no two patients, or their goals, are the same,” Lena says. While the specific medical offerings have expanded over the years, Lena notes that the true heart of the practice has never changed. She firmly believes exceptional healthcare always begins with listening. Taking the necessary time to educate patients, answer complex questions and develop lasting relationships has become one of the most rewarding parts of her daily career. She also credits the sustained success of Select Health & IVbg to the dedicated team that serves alongside her each day, creating a warm environment where every patient feels instantly welcomed and supported. One of the defining moments in the practice’s history came just one year after opening its doors, when the Select Health facility was completely destroyed in the historic December 2021 tornado. Rather than allowing that devastating setback to define the future of her business, Lena, her staff and the resilient Bowling Green community immediately came together to rebuild from the ground up. The intense experience strengthened her deep commitment to serving others and reinforced the powerful local relationships that have become the absolute foundation of the practice today. Outside the office, Lena enjoys spending time with her husband, Dorian, their family and their growing group of grandchildren. She openly credits her personal faith, family, loyal patients and dedicated staff for making Select Health what it is today. As the practice continues to grow in South Central Kentucky, Lena remains tightly focused on the very same mission that inspired her from the beginning: providing compassionate, highly personalized healthcare that helps patients live healthier, more confident lives.
