TJ Regional Health Welcomes Dr. Julia Caldwell




Please help us welcome Dr. Julia Caldwell to the T.J. Regional Health team! She joins Dr. Sachin Bahadur in the Pain Management Clinic at T.J. Health Pavilion.

Dr. Caldwell grew up in the south hills of Pittsburgh. She graduated from Penn State with degrees in Pre-Medicine, History and Medieval Studies with double honors in Health Administration and Policy and History. She completed her medical degree at the University of Cincinnati. She then trained at the University of Michigan in Anesthesiology and further in Interventional Pain. Dr. Caldwell worked in private practice for several years out West and then traveled to Penn State to work as an assistant professor. She has taught and researched at Penn State for the past six years, and she has published articles focused on pain, quality, and ethics.

Dr. Caldwell’s main areas of interests in pain medicine include neurostimulation, cancer and pelvic pain, fibromyalgia and pediatric pain.

When asked why she was excited about coming to Glasgow, Dr. Caldwell said, “I am looking forward to the beautiful weather and culture of Kentucky.” It was while attending medical school at the University of Cincinnati that she first traveled to and fell in love with the beautiful land of Kentucky.

In her free time, Dr. Caldwell enjoys reading, gardening, gourmet cooking, art, music and being with friends.
