SKYCTC Hosted Ribbon Cutting and Dedication Ceremony for the Grove Courtyard at the College

On Monday, May 9, 2022, at 2:00 p.m., Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College (SKYCTC) held a dedication ceremony and ribbon cutting for the new Grove Courtyard located outside Building L on the College’s Main Campus at 1845 Loop Drive in Bowling Green, KY.

The Grove Courtyard was designed to be a welcoming green space for students to congregate, relax, study, and celebrate. The Courtyard area includes outdoor dining tables and benches, is surrounded by trees and landscape beds, and features a brick patio with memorial and tribute pavers recognizing faculty, staff, students, and donors to SKYCTC. A prominent feature of the Grove Courtyard is a 5’ x 10’, 1800-pound stainless steel sculpture fabricated by the College’s welding faculty and students. The sculpture, titled “The Sky’s the Limit,” serves as an inspirational entrance to the courtyard.

In addition, The Grove Café, located just off the courtyard inside Building L, offers the campus community quick and affordable breakfast and lunch options in a coffee shop atmosphere. Before the ribbon-cutting, SKYCTC invited College retirees to a special luncheon in their honor at The Grove Café.
