Christina is a native of Bowling Green and grew up watching her dad, Ken Byrd, broker and Auctioneer of Ken Byrd Realty & Auction, “sell numbers” to eager buyers at his auctions, which drew her right in to the exciting profession. Her first job was a ticket runner at the auctions. “My career is not only my passion, but it’s what I’ve grown up being around,” said Christina. She has been a licensed Real Estate agent since 2002 and worked for her dad and mentor, for close to 10 years, helping with his marketing, advertising and closings after having studied education and hospitality management at WKU and Coastal Carolina University.

“What I learned from my Dad my entire life is priceless. I can only hope I have the same work ethic, integrity and loyalty as he possesses,” said Christina. Her dad encouraged her to join a larger residential, local company, and she chose the family of Coldwell Banker in 2016. She is currently a multi-million dollar producer with the company and her numbers are expected to quadruple this year. She attributes much of her success to the excellent training provided to her by Coldwell Banker. Her goal is simple - Bringing buyers and sellers together, making the process as stress free as possible and having everyone happy at the closing table. In the future, she hopes to expand her real estate profession to the Destin or Myrtle Beach area where she lived for many years. She gets back to the beach a few times a year and says the sand is still in her toes.

Christina is married to Dr. William Vachon, ER Physician at the Medical Center, she has two sons, King, 14, and Sam, 12, who are both in middle school at Drakes Creek. They also have three spoiled rotten dogs, Rex, Rosie and Sally. Their family is extremely active and loves to travel and explore new areas, spending as much time outside as possible. They have lived in Cumberland Ridge for over 10 years and love having access to Drakes Creek and the trail, making good health a part of their daily routine.

Christina believes daily laughter and taking the lighter view of life is key to a stress free life. “Be present and mindful. Practice daily gratitude,” Christina says are two mantras important to her. She says Mondays are her favorite day because it’s the start of a new week - to smash new goals and get it a little better than the last!

Most of Christina’s clients come from community involvement, friends and referrals. For years she has volunteered at her sons school. She loves the time spent there and getting to know all the students and staff. She is also involved in the humane society, networking women and other local charities, and frequently sponsors families in need. Christina loves to work with first time home buyers and people new to the area, enjoying getting to know the families, their culture, and how they want to live and grow in this town. She has worked in every type of sale from commercial deals to luxury homes and appreciates that each sale is so unique - “from selling a farm in Barren County one day to selling a starter home, then looking at a luxury home the next. It’s always something new!”
