Hope for the Homeless

Story and photography by Chase Wettstein

This year’s ribbon cutting for the Hope For Homeless event hosted by Realtors of Southern Kentucky brought together the whole city of Bowling Green, big and little. With plans to raise over 606,000 servings of food this year for members of our community, putting such a huge event together is no small task.

Children from around the area were invited to showcase just how important giving back to your community is. Big Red showed up to give some support, and so did Roscoe from the Hot Rods. City Commissioner Slim Nash and County Judge Executive Mike Buchanon announced the creation of annual Hope For Homeless week in Bowling Green every year from April 23-28 to celebrate the impact that this event has on our area.
