Marking the fourth year the local business received the honor Barbara Stewart Interiors has been named a 2019 Home Accents Today Retail Star for the fourth year. Customer service, willingness to evolve, introduction of new business technologies, community involvement and customer loyalty are the factors that determined the list of 55 award recipients nationwide.

“Our team at Barbara Stewart Interiors is honored to have been named a Retail Star among 55 other worthy and impressive retail businesses across the nation.” Susan Hoechner, owner of Barbara Stewart Interiors, said. “We wouldn’t have received this award without the support from our customers and the Bowling Green community.”

Sponsored by AmericasMart Atlanta and Las Vegas Market, the list is created each year to recognized independent brick-and-mortar stores specializing in home décor and accessories. Recipients range from gift shops to furniture stores and interior design centers.

“We’re more than just a brick-and-mortar store at Barbara Stewart Interiors,” Mindy Alexander, store manager, said. “We create meaningful relationships with our customers. That’s what has set us apart from other retailers, and it’s why we’ve been in business for 67 years.”

Barbara Stewart Interiors was among the most established retail businesses honored with the recognition, with only two other stores being older than the Bowling Green staple gift shop. Since 1952, Barbara Stewart Interiors has provided custom picture framing and restoration, interior design and retail services to South Central Kentucky.
