TriStar Greenview Welcomes New General Surgeon

TriStar Greenview Regional Hospital is pleased to welcome general surgeon Louis Matherne, M.D. to its medical staff.

Dr. Matherne is a graduate of University of South Alabama in Mobile, AL with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science. Before attending medical school, he worked as a counselor with at risk youth and spent three years teaching English in South Korea. He then completed his medical degree at Ross University School of Medicine. He went on to complete his internal medicine residency at New York Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. After, he went completed his general surgery residency at The Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati, OH.

“Dr. Matherne is a wonderful addition to our medical staff,” said Mike Sherrod, CEO of TriStar Greenview Regional Hospital. “He is committed to providing high quality care to his patients and is a great addition to our community.”
