The Story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons

Story and photography by Jimbob Baird

The extravagant musical production Jersey Boys which tells the story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons came to the Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center on May 2 and had the hundreds of patrons mesmerized in double time. The production told the story of one of the most popular singing groups from the 1960s through a series of character skits and renditions of the group’s most popular songs. The audience sang along to hits such as “Sherry,” “Walk Like a Man,” and many others. Each of the band members also told the story of the group from his own perspective which made for a memorable evening of musical storytelling.
