Spice Up the Night

Story and photography by Jimbob Baird

Hundreds of patrons of the arts and giving donors enjoyed a zesty evening out on November 16, at the Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center at the 4th annual Spice Up The Night event. The fundraising event featured a plated and buffet dinner catered by Hickory and Oak, complimentary bottles of wine, silent auction and great cooking demonstrations by local chefs that included Tim O’nan, and Joshua Poling along with Ryan and Matthew Poli from The Catbird Seat in Nashville. Dessert was served up by gingerbread artist Tunde Dugantsi.

The cheery fundraising evening was part of SKyPAC’s 5 day Gingerbread Homes for the Arts Festival, all proceeds from the event benefit the Center’s Arts Education and Outreach programs. For information about the outreach programs contact Tiffany Deaton at 270-904-7009.
