Fireman's Ball

Story and photography by Jimbob Baird

Giving back to the community was the theme of the 5th annual Bowling Green Fireman’s Association fundraising Ball held on September 8, at The Venue in midtown Bowling Green. The gala featured a Bourbon tasting, recognitions, silent auction, raffles, and a sit-down dinner that featured salmon pecan and prime rib along with side dishes and desserts.

The almost $30,000 raised will benefit BGFA charitable community programs such as the Thanksgiving food basket program, and shop with a fireman. Live entertainment for the evening featured Nick Lawson on vocals and guitar, followed the always popular Dueling Pianists.
