Farewell Weekend

Story and photography by Billie Wilson

Local pub that has been serving our area for more than ten years, closed its doors after a final farewell weekend April 13. Owner, Johnetta Pryor, has been in the music and bar business for more than 40 years and through Johnetta’s Pub has brought live acts and karaoke to her loyal followers. Throughout her time as a bar owner, Johnetta has supported local musicians and always provided a fun and safe environment as she always offered safe rides to anyone who needed one.

Johnetta and Alan Simpson have always had a great friendship, so on this farewell night, Alan Simpson and his band, Bueler’s Day Off, brought the overwhelming crowd a fantastic night of music, dancing and laughter.
