Summer break from school and our normal routines is coming to an end, but the beautiful weather and outdoor activities in our communities are here for awhile longer. With school in session, football season kicking off and the temperatures becoming tolerable, I hope that August is a great month for you! Check out our Outdoor Dining story and find the best spots in Bowling Green to enjoy a cool afternoon dinner in the fresh air.

This issue of VIP Bowling Green is the perfect spot for you to see all that Bowling Green has for you, as well as finding new ways to get involved in our community. With our theme of Health and Beauty this month, my team and I have found unique ideas for every style of workout so you can find what fits your interest and get healthy this Fall. No need to wait for New Years resolutions, get started now! While we usually think of our outer appearance when we hear Health and Beauty, this month, we put the spotlight on Women in our community who let their Inner Beauty shine through their careers, volunteer efforts and everyday life.

Our Health and Beauty section will also include a valuable resource we worked hard to put together that brings you many articles on current health advancements and services available to you, right here in Bowling Green.

My favorite part of each issue is always our event coverage and we have so much to bring you from an exciting Summer across South Central Kentucky. Kiwanis Club brought us the best Thunderfest yet this year with a brand new kids area that even included a tie dye station.
Don’t miss all of the fun from Handbags for Hope, Duncan Hines Festival and more. Best of all, Women’s Fund of South Central Kentucky announced their 2018 Impact Grant of $126,500. If anything can show you the passion of our community, it is the passion of this strong group of determined women.

As always, thank you for being a loyal reader. We work hard to bring you a magazine that can truly be utilized as more than just a quick read. We want to be a must-have resource for all things Bowling Green. Without your submissions, suggestions and feedback we could never be as comprehensive as we are. Enjoy the rest of your Summer!
