Celebration of Elm Street Society Members

STORY AND PHOTOGRAPHY BY BILLIE WILSON

Orchestra Kentucky celebrated their Elm Street Society Members at a party held at Jim and Rita Scott’s home. This was the first of four parties planned this year to recognize the Elm Street Society donors. These donors make a five year pledge to the Orchestra which helps ensure their ability to keep the music flowing in our Region. There are 5 levels of giving and the donors receive certain benefits including preconcert receptions; invitations to four private parties annually; invitations to “meet the artist“ receptions; special parking privileges, priority on all seating changes; $50 gift card from our participating restaurants which includes 440 Main, Hickory and Oak and Mariah’s. The party was well attended and a highlight of the evening was entertainment by Kim Stofer on the piano, Susan Norman singing “Edelweiss” and the “Theme from Sound of Music”.

The Elm Street Society members present received a marble Beethoven Bust as a token of thanks from Orchestra Kentucky. Jeff Reed, Orchestra Conductor, thanked all for attending and supporting the Orchestra.
