As general manager and design consultant, Sherri Laird works one on one with customers to create pieces that feel as intentional as they are comfortable. Located on Scottsville Road, the showroom offers both reclining and stationary living room furniture, all crafted by Best Home Furnishings in Indiana. With more than 700 fabric options and over 30 top grain leathers, each piece is highly customizable, allowing customers to find something that truly reflects their style. The goal is to blend comfort with thoughtful design, creating furniture that feels personal without sacrificing quality. From scale and silhouette to fabric and finish, every detail is considered, giving customers the ability to create pieces that not only fit their home but enhance how they live in it day to day. Sherri joined BG Home Furnishings in 2023 and quickly found her place in the locally owned, family run business. When the reclining gallery opened, she stepped into her current role, drawn to both the design process and the relationships built along the way. Each day brings new faces and the opportunity to help someone create a space they love. That hands on approach carries through every part of the experience. Rather than guiding customers toward a single option, Sherri and her team focus on helping each person find the right fit, balancing comfort, scale and style in a way that works for their home. Many of the customers who walk through the door are at a point where they are ready to invest in quality pieces that will last. Whether they are updating a long lived in space or furnishing a new chapter of life, Sherri enjoys helping them find something that feels both comfortable and meaningful for years to come. She also believes the process should feel just as enjoyable as the end result. The showroom is designed to be relaxed and approachable, giving customers the opportunity to explore options, ask questions and envision how each piece will fit into their home. Beyond the showroom, Sherri is passionate about building community. The business regularly supports local nonprofits through donations and event partnerships and recently launched the Women Who Bloom Tour, a collaborative event highlighting women owned businesses across Bowling Green. The initiative reflects her belief that small businesses thrive when they support one another. A Western Kentucky University alum and former Peace Corps volunteer, Sherri brings a global perspective to her work while remaining deeply rooted in Bowling Green. After time spent living in Virginia and abroad, she returned home with a renewed appreciation for the community that shaped her.
